Bucket Listography

I am reliably informed that a bucket list is a list of things that you would like to do before you die, before you kick the bucket. Kate has asked us to share what the top 5 things on our list would be.

The top 5 things I want to do before I die

1. Go on Honeymoon
David and I are getting married in September which is so exciting but because the babies are so small and we do not feel able to leave them for any length of time we will not be having a proper honeymoon. I hope that before we die we get to go to the Maldves, Mauritius or Vietnam somewhere we can relax just the two of us and fall in love all over again.

2. Go to New York during advent
I would love to go to New York in winter time and walk through the snow in Central Park. I want to do all the romantic things like horse and carriage ride, The Empire State Building, ice skating, seeing all the Christmas lights and festive shop displays, catching a show on broadway. David is not keen on this idea at all but I hope he will bring himself to share the experience with me for my birthday one year.

3. Take the children out of school for a year and go travelling
This is something David and I have talked about before our babies were even conceived. I think that the children could learn so much from experiencing different countries and cultures. I would enjoy teaching them myself too. This would be a huge challenge that would need careful planning and preparation but what a wonderful thing for us to do together as a family? We would plan the places we wanted to see, the experiences we wanted to share. It sends shivers down my spine just thinking about the possibility. Perhaps this should be number one?

4. Learn to panic less and go more with the flow!!

5. To build a house with David and make that house a lovely family home to pass through generations. A house that is home to our children and their children for years to come, now that would be an achievement. I would die happy if that were done.

What’s on your bucket list?

  1. I so admire the people are able to pull off #3. I don’t think I’d ever be strong enough to do something like that. I hope you do get a honeymoon. My Fiancé and are entered in a contest to win one in Thailand, because otherwise we probably won’t be able to afford one at the moment. I hope that if we make it to the final five I can count on your vote?!
