This week is turning out to be a wonder week, a week of wondrous news that I am actually finding quite hard to take in and believe.

First of all we were chosen to join the 2011 Toys R Us Toyologists programme and now it has been revealed that Edspire has been selected as a finalist for the MAD Blog Awards Best Mad Baby Blog Award! How amazing is that? I honestly cannot believe it. I am so grateful to anyone who voted for me and I am so honoured to have reached the final.

There are five finalists in the Baby category and I have to admit that I have not read any of them and so I am going to be reading them over the next few nights. I have heard of them though so I know that they will all be great to read! William is teething so feeding a lot at night at the moment – prime time to catch up with my reading and commenting!

I am feeling a little stunned to be honest that Edspire has come so far in just 9 months. It started off as our NICU journal with the hope that my experiences with Esther and William might help other people with premature babies, and with twins in particular. I have enjoyed blogging more than I can say. I love writing and sharing photographs. I love documenting the journey that is Esther and William’s life. It makes me very humble and emotional that people are following us on our way.

Through writing this blog I have gained such a lot of information,help and advice, so many contacts, new friends and experienced new services and products. I also hope that I have been giving something back. There is so much more that I want to do and Edspire is going to be the springboard for all of my new community based ideas.

There are exciting times ahead for Esther and William and I. And Daddy too!
